Step into the fascinating world of contemporary design as five exceptional Western Australian makers reveal the journey from concept to creation.

The Design Institute of Australia, in partnership with WA Museum Boola Bardip, presents an extraordinary exhibition that uncovers the iterative process behind exceptional design. Witness the evolution of ideas through process drawings, visualisations, work-in-progress models, and finished pieces.

Each maker brings their unique perspective to the exhibition which includes:

Philip Noakes: Masterful gold and silversmith crafting elegant vessels and sculptural forms
Benjamin Kontoullas: Pioneering industrial neon designs
Forlarno Design: Architectural spaces exploring meaning through sculptural forms
Kura Studio: Contemporary functional ceramics Nathan Day: Refined contemporary timber furniture
