PDW NEWS 12.02.25: WESTERN AUSTRALIAN DESIGN NOW Exhibition Open at WA Museum Boola Bardip
Perth Design Week, in collaboration with a curatorial panel of local design leaders, proudly presents Western Australia Design Now—an exhibition celebrating new and ambitious design.
What makes design from this place uniquely Western Australian? Is it an aesthetic? Is it a response to our unique place? Is it fuelled by our isolation and pioneering spirit? What is it that makes our buildings, spaces, products and fashion distinctively Western Australian? Explore these questions through the works of 30 contemporary designers spanning architecture, interior design, engineering, furniture, fashion, objects, videos, graphics, and publishing.
A very special thanks to our curatorial panel—Alessio Fini, Ara Salomone, Josh Hills, Mark Braddock and Reinette Roux—and to the WA Museum Boola Bardip for their generous support.
“Events like Perth Design Week are vital in pushing boundaries, inspiring fresh perspectives, and elevating the role of thoughtful design in shaping our future." Ara Salomone, exhibition curator
