Celebrate new and ambitious design at Western Australian Design Now.
See the work of 30 contemporary designers providing a snapshot of what’s happening in design here in WA.
The exhibition is as diverse as our design community. From architecture and interior design, furniture, fashion and objects, to engineering and graphics.
Our 2025 Perth Design Week exhibition provides a survey of some of the most exciting local contemporary practitioners as we ask: what makes design from this place uniquely Western Australian?
Is it an aesthetic? Is it a response to our unique place? Is it fuelled by our isolation and pioneering spirit? What is it that makes our architecture and design work distinctively Western Australian.
“This is the first collective exhibition of its kind in Perth and we felt it was important to provide a broad view of our thriving design and creative industries in Western Australia. While the exhibition is by no means exhaustive, it clearly illustrates the innovation and creativity being practiced in Western Australia is putting Perth on the global design map,” said Perth Design Week Co-Founders Sandy Anghie and David Smith.
For this exhibition Perth Design Week worked with a curatorial panel of local design leaders to provide a snapshot of some of the most innovative work being created by Western Australian designers right now.
"Perth Design Week provides a platform to showcase the unique character of Western Australian design, while fostering meaningful connections between architects, designers, and the broader community. Events like Perth Design Week are vital in pushing boundaries, inspiring fresh perspectives, and elevating the role of thoughtful design in shaping our future," said award winning architect Ara Salomone, one of the exhibition curators.
