Presented by the City of Stirling
The City of Stirling is searching for ambitious primary, secondary and tertiary students to join the “coalition of the infilling” and design an innovative and sustainable infill development project.
They will be inviting up to 250 students to be taken on a sustainable journey which will help them better understand urban change and design.
The Sustainable Stirling Student Design Competition offers students a chance to develop and physically model a cutting edge-sustainable urban infill design for a real-life suburban block.
A Showcase of student designs will be on display at the City of Stirling over Perth Design Week 2024 and an Awards Gala held to name the prize winners for each category and the Mayor’s Commendation Medal for Sustainable Design.
Matt Wallwork, Chris Ferreira and The Forever Project have partnered with the City to help them run the competition. The Forever Project has been organising workshops on sustainable infill projects for the past 15 years, demonstrating alternative approaches to development design.
