PRINCIPLES SQUARE BY OMA + UNIFOR
Join the Curtin Architecture Student Association (CASA) with the future Architects of Australia to discuss the goals and barriers of diversity and inclusion in the Architectural workplace. Together, we can build a future where architecture becomes a beacon of positive change and inspiration.
Fishbowl at Principles Square is open to anyone willing to contribute to, or just watch, design debate and conversation. Take a seat and join the discussion or observe from the sidelines. Once you are out of steam, pass your seat to the next contributor to keep the conversation going.
Soap Box is PDW's first open mic format of design conversation. We are proud to present a brilliant line up of design creators, makers, users, admirers and critics. Featuring: Zannah Anderson, Gordon Bateup, Kaila Cicchini, Stirling Fletcher, Rina Freiberg. Soap Boxers will each have 10 minutes on stage, to share with, sync to, or speak at the audience with their content.

OMA Australian Director Paul Jones, and Senior Architects Christopher Hing Fing and James Pierre du Plessis will speak about the experience of realizing the WA Museum Boola Bardip (by Hassell + OMA).

A challenging site sparks the interest of well-known architect and founding partner of OMA Rem Koolhaas. Slowly, the house reveals itself as the film reveals clues about Koolhaas's process.
We have invited PDW participants to partake in an interview with a twist. They will be the subject of a short, sharp 5-minute interview about their event and PDW contribution before swapping from interviewee to interviewer. Next participant steps up and we keep rolling until we are done! This will be a fun and engaging showcase of what PDW is all about.

Get Fresh with Perth's design community. Hosted by AGDA WA, Fresh Mints will give you an introduction to the design practice and creative journeys of four professionals, who will share their learnings from their studies and from their entry into the industry.

The work of Western Australian artist-jeweller Dorothy Erickson is celebrated in this exhibition spanning the artist's 50-year career. Piú di Cinquante features State Art Collection works alongside a rich array of loans, including special pieces from Erickson's personal collection.

This year the Italian Design Day (IDD) in the Perth will be celebrated on 20th March under the title “Fabricating Value – Inclusivity, Innovation and Sustainability.” In Perth, this year the initiative will be organized in cooperation with the School of Design and Built Environment of Curtin University and in the context of Perth Design Week.
